Rachel founded The Accounting Effect Inc. in 2007 and has led the firm since. She works directly with owners as their fractional CFO, translating the numbers into clear decisions about cash, profitability, and growth. Clients tend to be surprised that a conversation about their financials can be easy and personable. Outside the office, she’s on her five acres with her two daughters and two dogs.
Catie Hein-Carter
Catie moved from the corporate world into accounting in 2021 and now oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations. She manages the client bookkeeping, the monthly reporting cycle, and the systems that keep every client on schedule. She’ll tell you the best parts of the job are working alongside her sister and keeping room for a full life outside of work.
